I have exams this year, So I wont be able to map for at least the next 5 weeks.
Might touch a bit here and there but that's it.

I'll try to release it this summer wink

He already helped a lot fixing bugs though!

I made a different Jump3 from the one you can see on ut4_Lotr_final released as a test version by xsmeagol (go on unsorted and download)

You were about to look into jump 3 again, to keep old ending. So jump 3 with the new (leftside) and the old (door) ending, is that possible?

If it continues like this you might expect no actual release of the map.
It's not my intention to release a bugged map.

Light stage is somehow buggy and neither me or the others who have taken a look at the map found the source of the problem.


Atm I am looking for a mapper to team-up with me, not only on this but also on other projects I've (If agreed) - this includes 3 other jump maps (with the jump concepts already drawn on a paper) and a frag map (with a potentially good layout and theme figured out).

Just type your name below if you're interested and I'll pick one or more mappers to work with me (I'll take preferences for expedient mappers, active and those with a mapping skill totally different than mine - which would result on a map with more than one good aspect.

happy, sorry, been kinda busy reinstalling windows and preparing myself for a show I'm giving after holidays.

I'm on holidays now, so not much I can do.

Thanks to HappyDay the light bug is fixed! He's the best.

And, I'm pleased to say that with the combined effort of me and Projumper, the map is moving along faster than ever!
Jump3 is now redone and all it requires is testing and then fixing any minor tweaks (probably will have a different ending (even different than the slightly remade ending from the original one). This one just happens to be damn annoying and perhaps impossible.
You won't be disappointed though!

Some minor tweaks around the other jumps were also fixed smile

So now we've Lotr with 7 jumps (some of which still need testing and have some minor tweaks to fix).

We'll do our best so you don't have to wait too long smile
(might take longer as we just established a new mapping team called "Dower", which means "Talented", "Natural", "Born to do it". - so, we're also busy setting up a server - props to Projumper - aswell as a team banner and website (for advertisement and more information about us.)

I found jump 3 good in lotr_v3 but in lotr its really hard.
Also, the big jump (jump 7 or 8, idk, the big one with the slope where all pros make a video of landing), there the begin was harder in _v3 then in the normal one., iirc.
Also keep he shortcut (in _v3 there is shortcut between 2nd/3rd slide, in normal version he deleted it) because thats just a jump to annoy and irritate, that jump with only 1 walljump.
Jump 9 my favorite i think, and jump 10 definitely needs a texture update.

I was going to use rc at the end of the name wink

The map will have no other jumps added by me nor xsmeagol, it'll only have the same jumps as before.
Aparently Jump3 will require a handful of work.
The pillars are overjumpable and the end impossible (no stamina)

Meets your requirements?

The pillars are a bit overjumpable (even for me, yes).. But changing them would require at least 2 hours of work as I'd have a lot to change and then texture alignment to make. If it bothers you a lot I'll do it, otherwise I might just leave it this way..

Some more updates:
- Jump 3 is practically done, all that will be changed is some distances in case the testers find it easy at some points. The jump is hard but possible (Thanks budokai!!), it is tricky at the end though.

- I've removed rain from the map as it was giving too many work and no result that matched the quality of the map.

- I've removed light style (flickering lights) from the map as it was giving too many trouble and no good result + it originated some nasty bugs.

- Working on lighting on the jumps that are already made (7 jumps).

- The skybox decided not to work, idk what happened but I'm working in order to solve this problem.

- Will add an URTJumpers logo to the map.

I think that's it for now. I've been also restyling and fixing some minor tweaks aswell.
